[11-28-2019 Update] - All 77 members of the old Yahoo Group were migrated to the new Google Group successfully. Apologies to anyone who may have received multiple confusing emails during this migration.

[11-27-2019]

NORAC has operated an email reflector service using Yahoo Groups for many years now.

Yahoo has decided to change its service significantly in December 2019 so NORAC is moving from Yahoo Groups to Google Groups for our email reflector service. NORAC already uses Google for other services so it's convenient to consolidate our services under Google now.

Google Groups allows you to create and participate in an email-based group with a rich community experience. You can also use your group to share documents, pictures, calendars, invitations, and other resources. Learn more.

What is an email reflector and why would I join?

  • It's a service for pushing one email to all the members of the group.
  • You create an email and send it to a single address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  • Everyone in the group receives your email and can reply back.
  • Everyone in the group sees everyone's comments and replies.
  • It's a simple technology for creating a rich group conversation.
  • It's free to join our group and you don't have to be a NORAC member or even a licensed amateur. If you are interested in Amateur Radio and want to know what NORAC is up to joining this group is the best entry point.
  • Members of neighboring clubs are welcome on our list if you wish to keep track of NORAC activity and news.
  • You don't need a Google Groups account or registration of any kind, all you need is a working email address from any email provider.
