You're all invited.

NORAC is having a casual RAC Canada Day Contest event at my QTH in Lumby this upcoming Saturday/Sunday of the July long weekend.

This years contest celebrates Canada's Birthday and RAC's 25th Anniversary as our national radio club.

This 24 hour contest runs from 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC on July 1st.

In local time that's 5:00pm Saturday, until 4:59pm on Sunday.

Weather permitting we'll be setup in my yard with a tent and we'll use club radios with my onsite antennas to keep the setup quick & simple. If we have inclement weather we can easily move indoors to my shack and stay dry.

I have a camp fire pit with grill, as well as a BBQ on the deck, so we have lots of outdoor cooking capacity.

This is a BYOE event (bring your own everything).
  • Lawn chair
  • Food for the BBQ (if you plan to stay for a meal)
  • Snacks
  • Cold Drinks
  • etc.
For new members or amateurs with little or no HF experience this is an excellent opportunity to operate radios with any assistance that you may require in a very casual contest environment. Your only job is asking to operate, and asking for help if needed.

Everyone's invited to stop by and visit for any period of time that suits your own long weekend schedule. Stay for an hour, stay for an evening (Sat), stay for the day (Sun), whatever you wish.
