From https://sotawatch.sota.org.uk/en/ we find Bruce VA7SGY from Langley visiting our local mountain peak this Saturday and attempting to be the first to activate it for the Summits On The Air program:
Keep an ear on VE7RSS and the national VHF simplex calling frequency for Bruce's announcements, and perhaps even add 146.55 MHz to your scan in prep so that you don't miss this rare event.
For Bruce to activate the summit he will need at least 3 contacts on the simplex 146.55 MHz frequency. And as this is using FM modulation, it should be possible for anyone who wants to work him to do so, no matter what radio they have.
